After much thought and research, I ordered a new iMac. I am getting the 24-inch iMac with 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM, 1TB hard drive, NVIDIA GeForce GT 130 with 512MB memory, and with keyboard with the number pad. I used the discount plan that I get with Apple through my work, so I saved over $100. I’m so excited. I had been waiting for the iMac refresh for the longest time and when that came, I was waiting for the new OS, but since it looks like it will be September until Snow Leopard is released, I went ahead and brought it today. I really could use a new computer for when I start work on my documentary series. Getting the computer was an ordeal since I had to call my bank to get my spending limit temporary extended and then I took an hour lunch to run home and order it.
Besides ordering my next computer, I went to the Mediaeval Fair in Norman. When I got there, it was closing down for the night. Though, it wasn’t a total lost. I meet up with my friend Darien for dinner and I checked out some of the places that Campus Corner had to offer. I made note of several of them for the documentary series.
I know I’ve talked about the series a few times and I’ll share more details on the next update!
