My novella, The Crashing of Heaven and Hell is (nearly) complete. To celebrate, there was a lightning storm tonight. It’s all written out and I just finished up my big editing sweep through the book. It’s now at at point where I can share it with friends for feedback and proofreading. It counts at over 21,000 words and 115 pages and that’s not counting the bonus short story version (which I need to edit and put it in the book). Since it is nearly finished and the weather is starting to get warmer, I’ll start pushing to do Running Out of Lives soon. However, I think I may wait on that project since I might be moving out for realz this time. We’re having a person interested in buying the house coming to visit tomorrow. My parent’s aren’t getting their hopes up, but they have been getting the house fixed up regardless because they still plan to sell it in the spring.
As for my job, it seems to be getting rougher. It’s almost like we’re being set up for failure. I want to help them, but I also want to yell at everyone and point out their flaws that are hurting the store. I also seem to be the target of nitpicking lately, but I keep telling myself they do it because they know I’m the best and they want me to be even better. I need to work with everyone as well to help them perform even better as well.
Oh, I find this cool blog post: 20 (More) Incredibly Unconventional Hotel Rooms: Artistic Interior Designs from Around the World. I saved most of the images in my “interesting design ideas” folder for future reference. Go check it out for yourself while you can. I’m going to go play Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
