Thanksgiving and Black Friday
I hope those in the U.S. had a good Thanksgiving and Black Friday. As for me, I was kept pretty busy. Since my Dad had to work on Thanksgiving, I had Thanksgiving lunch at his work. I brought my Mom there with all of the food and helped set things up. We ate a little after two. After that, I visited some friends, play games with them, and I came home and did some work.
Today, I went shopping this morning at about 7:30. I hit places were there weren’t any big lines. I ended up spending more money on myself than for other people today. Hehehe… Yeah, well, money is tight with family and friends this year, so I knew if I wanted something big that it would be best if I just bought it myself. All I did buy for myself was mainly some games and a few movies. Anything really cheap I want, like less than $25, I’m letting other people spend on me. I still got to buy some gifts for friends. Today was just family. Of course, I still had to work, but I didn’t have to go in until 5 p.m. Man I thought we would be slow (usually people don’t get glasses on Black Friday), but we kept pretty busy back in the lab.
But that’s all boring personal stuff! You see also during the past few days I’ve been working on a short story that takes place on Black Friday titled, Happy Ending. “It’s been a long, stormy Black Friday. Security was tired. Customers were exhausted. Workers wanted to go home. It was the best time for Sid to let his lover Marie take any human she wanted.” It’s a mature horror story, so if you’re interested, check it out. At the end of the story are my comments over it. Enjoy the story and enjoy the weekend!
